Can I cancel my race entry?
Yes of course. But please remember that once you enter we encore charges for race numbers, timing chips, swim caps, medals, t shirts, pasta party, road closures etc. So please don’t be disappointed when you don’t get your full refund.
All entrants are subject to a €25 cancellation charge up to 31/05/2018 at midnight. No refunds after 01/06/2018.
What if I get Injured after 01/06/2018 and can’t race?
We are offer all injured athletes an exclusive cancellation discount for 2019 at early bird prices. Apply here for your discount.
Can I transfer to another Category?
Athletes can transfer to another category for a fee of €10 up to 12/06/2018. All entries are non transferable to another athlete.
All credit card and bank charges race entry charges are non-refundable.

When do I receive my race briefing?
Your race brief will be emailed to your 5 days prior to the event. It will also be available on our website and Facebook page.

When can I rack my bike in Transition?
Please note you must be registered before you can enter Transition area. You must have you wristband and race number and helmet visable to enter.
Can I leave anything other than my bike in transition?
No. Only race gear is allowed in transition. A casual bag drop area is located near the finish line.
Where do I leave my casual clothes bag?
There will be a designated bag drop for casual clothing at the finish area – Location

Where is the swim start?
The swim starts from Number 1 – lOCATION
How do I get to the swim start?
All athletes must walk to swim start and be at the swim start 10 mins before wave start.
Is there FOOD AFTER THE RACE?
yES. All athletes will get pasta, water, fruit and BORN recovery drinks.
Is the roads closed on the bike?
Yes. All roads are closed. All athletes must still obey the rules of the road. All major junctions will be marshalled.
How many loops on the bike course?
Super Sprint – 1 Lap
Sprint – 1 Lap
Olympic – 2 Laps
Is the bike course flat?
The bike course is very flat and fast. Usually wind assisted for the last 10 km. Check out the route maps for further details
Where are the aid stations on the bike?
No aid stations on bike route.
How many loops on the run course?
The run consists of:
Super Sprint – 1 Lap
Sprint – 2 Laps
Olympic – 4 Laps
Where are the aid stations on the run?
The aid stations are situated at 1,3, 5, 7 km.
What nutrition is at the run aid stations?
The aid stations on the bike are as follows:

Do I receive a finisher medal?
Yes. Every athlete that completes the race receives a finisher medal.
What is at the athletes recuperation area?
Athletes will have an exclusive area at the finish line to rest get some well earned calories.
Is there a Finish line and after party?
Redbull will be rocking out tunes at the finish area.
Where are the best Spectator viewing points?
The swim start will be an electric atmosphere. The famous Athlone town bridge and castle create amphitheatre which will keep you in the heart of the action. The athletes village is ideal for seeing your loved ones during T1 and T2. The 3 main hotspots on the run are the Transition area with music pumping out all day. The town bridge and Main Street offer both views of the bike in and run circuit. Our famous beer mile sponsored by situated at the world famous Sean’s bar. The oldest pub in Europe. This is where you can sit back cheer on the athletes and enjoy a beer.
